The Magic of Hand Maps for Checking your Health

Would it surprise you to find out that all of the ailments in your body are accurately mapped out on your hand? Eastern medicine has always put forward the idea that health problems manifest themselves when there is an energy imbalance in the body. Your thoracic spine is represented from the thumb joint to a point approximately two thirds the distance from the tip of your thumb to the wrist. The lumbar and sacral spine follow this, reaching all the way to the wrist.

The entire body is reflected on the hand and there are many free hand maps available on the internet that allow you to see more than 100 individual acupoints and explain which part of the body they mirror. Not only do they show the various internal organs and systems, but they also indicate the external muscular skeletal system as well as identifying specific ailments such as back pain, inflamed colon, asthma, liver disorder, insomnia and blood pressure problems, to name but a few.

By sending a light electrical charge into your hand and balancing this with a second connection point on your body, it is possible to detect where any blockages in your meridians exist. The blocked acupoints will give you feedback by way of a tingling sensation at the exact point of the blockage. By using a hand map, you can identify exactly what this blockage relates to in terms of an ailment or painful body part. The stronger the tingling sensation is, the more acute the problem. This acts as an early warning system for health issues that you may be experiencing and allows you to make the choice to go and see your medical practitioner before the problem gets out of hand.

The most interesting part of this examination process is the fact that the areas which are identified as blocked meridians or acupoints, are also the exact points that you can then treat with traditional acupuncture, electro acupuncture or acupressure. Stimulating the acupoints, whether with needles, finger pressure or electro-magnetic pulses, increases the flow of chi in your body and therefore the body functions better. It also stimulates your body into releasing endorphins, which act as natural pain killers. This is the most natural way to address pain problems without the complications inherent in ingesting pain killers.
